Presenting
Alongside my instructional design work, I've presented videos and provided voice-over for countless e-learning products and promotional materials.

Presenting has its own unique set of challenges that I try to focus on each time the camera rolls. Among these are:

-
appearing natural
-
speaking clearly
-
keeping the tone varied
-
matching the rhythm of any autocue
-
sounding interested

Thankfully, the classroom teaching experience helps again here, and although the audience is older, the core principles of how to remain engaging stay the same.

Voice-over
Voice-over is great fun. It shares many of the challenges of presenting, but without the need to be so focused on body language and facial expressions.
I recently invested in a pro-level recording setup at home, and have provided voice-over work for clients as diverse as:

-
The National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO)
-
The British Transport Police
-
Marks & Spencer
-
Morrisons
-
Elior Group
-
Hawksight Security Risk Management
-
Keepmoat Homes

Much of this work has been to accompany scripts and e-learning courses that I have written and designed myself. One such example is the UK government's counter-terrorism e-learning course, available here.
